It was a great atmosphere for college basketball Sunday at Gill Coliseum. 8,667 mostly Beaver fans were entertained by two of the nation's top teams. Destiny Slocum was outstanding for the Beavers. A season high 26 points and no turnovers. Kiana Williams was the glue for Stanford with 17 points and no turnovers.
Stanford edged Oregon State 61-58 in comeback fashion. The difference in this one...offensive rebounds in the final minutes of the game. Stanford had eight to keep possession even though the Beaver defense kept making stops but couldn't get the key boards when they really needed them.
Afterwards, a truly disappointed coach Scott Rueck, Mikayla Pivec and Destiny Slocum
