Grizzlies Send Trail Blazers To Their Fifth-Straight Loss

----- Ja Morant finished with 28 points and eight rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies clinched the season-series against the Trail Blazers with a 120-113 victory Sunday afternoon at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Ja Morant scored 28 points and pulled down eight rebounds and Jonas Valanciunas finished with a double-double 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies won the season series from the Portland Trail Blazers 120-113 Sunday afternoon at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Portland (32-28) has now dropped six-straight games at home and five-games overall.

CJ McCollum led the Blazers with 27 points and Jusuf Nurkic finished with 16 points and 19 rebounds, but Damian Lillard's struggles continued as he scored just 23 points on 8-of-27 shooting. The Blazers connected on just 37.1% of their shots.

Memphis started the game on a 10-2 run and led by as many as 16 in the third quarter but Portland was able to cut the deficit to 94-92 on a Carmelo Anthony three-pointer. Memphis countered with a 17-4 run to push the lead their lead to 111-96.

Portland made one last push getting to 114-111 on Nurkic's layup and free throw with 58.3 seconds left.

After Morant's free throws, Norman Powell's layup made it a three-point game. Morant added another pair of free throw before Damian Lillard missed on a 3-point attempt that all but ended it.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will start a six-game road trip Tuesday in Indiana against the Pacers. The game is scheduled to tip off at 4:00 PM.
