Rockets Soar Past Trail Blazers

The Trail Blazers were without Donovan Clingan, Deandre Ayton, and Deni Avdija, but got a boost with Jerami Grant returning to the lineup after suffering a facial contusion.

Scoot Henderson returned to the bench with Grant's return. He finished with 21 points and 11 assists.

Houston (28-13) led by one at halftime but used a 15-0 third quarter run to take control of the game. The Rockets opened the fourth on a 17-8 run pushing their lead to 22 at 104-82.

The Trail Blazers did respond with a 12-4 run but couldn't get over the hump and the Rockets cruised to an easy victory.

Portland committed 19 turnovers leading to 24 points for the Rockets. Houston held a 61-40 edge on the glass and pulled down 23 offensive rebounds.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers play the second of a back-to-back Sunday evening at Moda Center against the Chicago Bulls. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Rebounding continues to be an issue for the Trail Blazers.
