Pistons Build Big Lead, Hold On To Beat Blazers

------ Jalen Duren finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 110-102 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Monday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Jalen Duren finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds and Ausar Thompson added 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 110-102 Monday night at Moda Center.

Cade Cunningham finished with 14 points and nine assists before fouling out in the fourth quarter. Duncan Robinson connected on three from beyond-the-arc and added 15 points.

Shaedon Sharpe led Portland (12-17) with 25 points and Deni Avdija finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists. Another strong performance for Sidy Cissoko. He finished with 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Detroit (23-6) controlled the first half with their defense and took a 61-51 lead into halftime. They led by as much as 21-points in third before Portland started to fight back.

The Trail Blazers put together a 26-4 run from the end of the third into the fourth and took their first lead at 100-99 with 4:13 remaining.

The Pistons closed the game on an 11-2 run to earn the win.

The Trail Blazers made just 29-of-43 from the foul line and were -16 in points off turnovers.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will play the second of a back-to-back Tuesday night against the Orlando Magic at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
