OSU Women's hoops flirt with all-time record!

What a Sunday afternoon at Gill for the 19th ranked Oregon State Women's basketball team! 36 first-quarter points. Six players in double figures and a 110-62 blowout win over San Jose State. Marie Gulich the senior from Cologne, Germany had 22 points and 11 rebounds. The Beavers 110 point performance just short of the all-time scoring record set back in 1982 when the Beaver bounced Portland State 117-58.

She talks with me about the win and the tremendous offense to go along with their usual stingy defense. The Beavers now 6-2 will host Savannah State Wednesday at 11:am. Why the early start? Its the annual field-trip day for 6,000 plus middle-school and high school students in the Willamette Valley to spend a couple of hours learning about College Basketball. For many it will their first exposure to a big-time college basketball experience.
