Gulich scores 25 Beavs top USC 69-63 on Senior Day

The Oregon State Beavers are playing their basketball at the right time of the season. Just ten days away from the Pac-12 tournament the Beavs complete a sweep of the LA schools and improve to 21-6 and 12-4 in the Pac-12 conference. Marie Gulich the lone senior on this young team was outstanding again. After a 24 point 12 rebound performance in Friday night's thriller against UCLA 67-64 she dominates the Trojans with a 25 point  nine  rebound effort Sunday afternoon before 5,000 fans at Gill. Marie had a ton of emotion she had to channel in this one because the pregame ceremony was all about her and her incredible career at Oregon State. It was my honor to sing the German National Anthem with her father Johannes Gulilch before the game.

Freshman Taya Corosdale stepped up big time in the game with 11 points and nine boards and Kat Tudor was outstanding again with 17.

After the game USC players claimed they heard racial slurs as they left the court. They posed comments on Twitter but then quickly took them down. The school says it is investigating the alleged incident and of course there is no place for that kind of behavior anytime.....any place.

The Beavs now head to Arizona for two games in Tucson and Tempe this Friday and Sunday looking to finish in the top three in the conference standings.
