It should be pretty nice on the Palouse this afternoon for some baseball. Mostly sunny skies and a temperature of around 70 for the start of a three-game series between the Beavers and Cougars.
Let's talk Cougs first. This a HUGE series for WSU. The season has been disappointing. 14-23 overall and 6-12 in conference play. Last weekend the Cougs lost two out of three to their rivals the Huskies. They do have one Pac-12 series win over ASU.
The Beavers have won nine of their last ten including a non-conference counting win over Oregon on Tuesday. Oregon State is ranked #3 in the nation in the D1 Poll and overall sit at 33-7 and 12-6 in Conference play. Stanford sits atop the standings at 14-4 followed by UCLA at 14-5. The Cardinal come to Corvallis for three next weekend.
