The trip to Bend was productive for the Oregon State football team. A walk thru.....a bowling event to build team comradarie.. Then a scrimmage that showed tremendous progress but also pointed out areas in which the Beavers must get better.
Coach Jonathan Smith talked to the gathered media in Bend right after the end of a scrimmage shortened slightly by heavy smoke from wildfires. Smith did get a chance to see all three aspects of the Beavers operate. Offensively he had to like what his offense accomplished. The defense did give up a couple of big plays but also sacked the QB a few times. And special teams was all about Jordan Choukair's six for six in the field goal department.
