A doubleheader of College Basketball is set for Gill Coliseum Saturday. The 9th ranked Oregon State Beaver Women's Basketball team hosts La Salle at Noon. The Oregon State Men's hoop team off to a 5-1 start hosts Missouri State at 4:pm
The men's game is the 5th Annual Teddy Bear Toss game. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or slightly used stuffed animal and throw on the court at halftime. All of the stuffed animals will be donated to youth in need this holiday season.
Earlier in the day the Beavers fresh off an impressive showing at the Vancouver Showcase just so close to knocking off #1 Notre Game play a La Salle team that has struggled early in the season. The Beavers announced this week that 6'9" freshman post Andrea Aquino will red-shirt this season.
The Men's team received some bad news this week:
Oregon State will be without its best big man for at least a month because center Gligorije Rakocevic has sustained a stress fracture to his left foot.
The 6-foot-10 center, who has started each of OSU’s six games during its 5-1 start to the 2018-19 season, said he is expected to be out 4-6 weeks.
