Oregon State vs Pepperdine tonight at Gill Coliseum!

After two tough losses at St.Louis and at the Moda Center the Beavers are back home tonight. The Pepperdine Waves come to Corvallis with a 6-5 record and do have an impressive win over Miami of Ohio. Their last game, an overtime loss at Southern Utah. Pregame coverage on 1190 KEX begins at 6:30 with Mike Parker. The tip a little after 7:pm. I have included highlights from Saturday's game against Texas A and M. The Beavers have shown some flashes of brilliance this season but the last two games have shown difficulty in finishing against good oppoents.  vs. PEPPERDINE: Oregon State and Pepperdine are meeting for the fifth time in history with the Beavers leading the series, 4-0, with two of the wins coming in the NCAA Tournament. The teams first met on March 16, 1962 in Provo, Utah in the NCAA West Regional Semifinals. Oregon State won the game 69-67, as Mel Counts, Terry Baker and Steve Pauly scored 15 points apiece. Counts also grabbed 21 rebounds. The Beavers lost to UCLA the following night in the NCAA West Regional Final, 88-69. The teams had a home-and-home series in 1980 and 1981. Oregon State won 82-76 on Dec. 6, 1980 in Malibu, Calif., and 84-69 on Dec. 12, 1981 in Corvallis. The last meeting came on March 14, 1982 in Pullman, Wash., in the NCAA West Regional Second Round. Oregon State won 70-51 behind 18 points from Danny Evans, 16 from Lester Conner and 14 from Charlie Sitton. The Beavers defeated Idaho, 60-42, in the NCAA West Regional Semifinals in Provo, Utah before falling two nights later to No. 1-seed Georgetown, 69-45, in the NCAA West Regional Final.
