Beavers to battle for Pac-12 conference title. WSU in Corvallis Friday!

The Oregon State Beavers have won the Pac-12 conference championship three of the past four seasons. Can they make it four out of five? A 10-2 non-conference record is a good start but they know the competition steps up quite a bit beginning Friday.

have included the last time the Beavers and Washington State Cougars tangled in Pullman during the 2017-18 season. A huge win at the time for Oregon State in OT.

This season the Cougars have a new coach and struggled during the non-conference part of their schedule. However, they opened their Pac-12 schedule last week and surprised the Huskies 79-76 in Seattle.

The Cougs new coach is Kamie Ethridge and has the new look Cougs at 6-6. Their star player is not new. Borislava Hristova is a Junior from Bulgaria who scored 38 against Washington Sunday so the Beavers will have their hands full with Hristova and her teammates.

The Beavers are a three-point shooting machine. In their first 12 games they have 131 three-pointers. That is an average of 10.9 three-pointers per game! Kat Tudor leads the team with 38 3's....Destiny Slocum has 27 and Aleah Goodman with 25.

How good is OSU's three-point shooting. The 43.7 percent from long distance is number one in the nation!!

The latest Women's College basketball Bracketology has the Beavers hosting the first two games of the NCAA tourney in Corvallis and is sitting at a three-seed. Oregon and Stanford their two prime competitors to win the conference title are also listed as hosting the first two rounds. Oregon as a #1 seed and Stanford as a #2 seed,

It should be entertaining Friday night at Gill! 6:30 the pregame coverage begins on the Beaver Sports Network.
