Wildcats take down Beavers 82-71!

 

Once again the Beavers played catch up basketball in the Arizona desert on Saturday. Falling behind and then staging a furious comeback that came up short. Oregon State now back home on Thursday to try and get well against the Cougs. Mike Parker will have the call on 1190 KEX with pregame at 7:30 pm

Tres Tinkle posted a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds in an 82-71 loss to Arizona on Saturday night. The Beavers (11-6, 3-2 Pac-12) cut a 12-point deficit to 61-58 before Arizona (14-5, 5-1) extended the lead back to double figures. 

Ethan Thompson scored 17 points to join Tinkle in double figures. Alfred Hollins and Stephen Thompson Jr.added seven points apiece. Oregon State shot 51.0 percent from the field. Brandon Williams scored 20 points to lead five Arizona player in double figures. 

The Wildcats went 13 for 27 from the arc and snagged 21 offensive boards, leading to 28 second-chance points. The Beavers return to Gill Coliseum to take on Washington State at 8 p.m. on Thursday. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
