Beavers get two wins and a tie in Seattle. Civil War baseball next!!

The Oregon State Beavers had a chilly but successful trip to Seattle's baseball showcase!

Two wins and a tie....yes a tie...I will explain.

Friday, the Beavers topped the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The key moment for Oregon State was in the sixth inning. Adley Rutschman hit a two-run homer at T-Mobile Park (Safeco) and that was all of the offense the Beavs needed.

Christian Chamberlain came in and handcuffed Minnesota striking out seven in 4 2/3 innings to pick up his first win of the season.

Saturday, Joe Casey hit his first career homer and the Beavers topped Indiana 8-3. Bryce Fehmel, the senior recorded his fourth quality start of the year, and allowed three runs on five hits with six strikeouts in six innings. He exited with a runner on in the seventh and won his third game of the season and 29thof his career,

And then Coastal Carolina on Sunday. The Beavers end up playing to a 4-4 tie. The game was called after 11 innings due to a 3 1/2 curfew for each game at the Seattle Baseball Showcase. The Beavers end the weekend with a 12-1-1 record on the year while Coastal Carolina is 13-3-1.

Next up for the Beavers, a Civil War battle with the Oregon Ducks. The game is set for Goss Stadium tomorrow at 6:pm.
