Beavers are the #4 seed and host #13 Boise State Saturday at Gill!!

It was one of the weirdest reveal days I can remember. I was on my way from Portland to Corvallis to emcee the Oregon State Selection show watch party. The big question was would the Beavers get a 3 or 4 seed and host the First and Second Round of the Women's NCAA Tournament. Well I just got to exit 228 to drive the last ten miles to Corvallis and there was a bulletin on my phone. Oregon State was the #4 seed and would host #13 Boise State at Gill. Wait a minute we were supposed to have a watch party filled with anticipation about who and where the Beavers were playing. So, like just about every other school....the watch party was cancelled and the Beavers went right to work on a game plan for the Broncos champions of the MWC. Gonzaga the #5 seed plays Arkansas Little-Rock in the first game Saturday at 12;30 followed by OSU and BSU. Destiny Slocum the Beavers outstanding point guard grew up in Meridian, Idaho not far from Boise State and chatted about the upcoming challenge. The game will be broadcast on 1190 KEX in Portland with the pregame coverage beginning at 2:pm
