Cowboys sweep Beavers! Lose finale 8-7.

The good news first for Oregon State baseball. They are now tied with Stanford atop the Pac-12 Standings with nine games left to play in the conference. The other hopeful news,.....Beau Philip is back in the lineup and had four hits in five at bats Sunday in the 8-7 loss to Oklahoma State.

The reality check for Oregon State is the need for some of the bats in the lineup to wake up. That actually started in the finale against the Cowboys. Adley Rutschman hit his 18th homer and Ryan Ober and Alex McGarry both had two hits.

Fortunately the four-game dip by Oregon State has been against non-conference opponents, Now its back to conference play against an Oregon team embarrassed by Arizona over the weekend. The sweep by the Wildcats included a 28-7 laugher on Sunday.

Oregon hosts Portland tomorrow while the Beavers will take this Tuesday off. The Civil War battle begins Friday at 7:pm at PK Park in Eugene. 6;30 the pregame coverage begins with Mike Parker on the Beaver Sports Network. Rip City Radio 620 will carry the game in the Portland-Vancouver area. .
