Beavers will host Regional. Will face Cincinnati on Friday!

The watch party was more of a quiet gathering of friends. Oregon State already knew they were hosting a regional. So the team arrived at Reser Stadium to watch the ESPN U Selection Show. The Beavers are old hat at hosting NCAA Regionals. Its their eighth time since the NCAA expanded the baseball tournament to 64 teams. Cincinnati their first round opponent is making its first trip to the NCAA Tourney in 45 years!! Beavers and Bearcats Friday night at 7:pm at Goss. Creighton and Michigan play the early game at 1:pm. The Oregon State baseball team will enter NCAA Regional action as the No. 16 national seed, as announced by the NCAA on Monday. The Beavers will open tournament play Friday at 7 p.m. PT versus No. 4 seed Cincinnati on ESPNU.

No. 2 Creighton and No. 3 Michigan will open the Corvallis Regional at 1 p.m. on Friday on ESPN3.

Creighton enters the regional with a 38-11 record, having gone 13-4 in conference play. The Blue Jays last visited Goss Stadium at Coleman Field in 2011 when playing in the Corvallis Regional that season. Oregon State defeated Creighton, 5-1, during the regional and is 3-0 all-time versus the Blue Jays.

Should Oregon State and Michigan play during the regional, it will be their first meeting since the 2007 Corvallis Super Regional, won by the Beavers in two games, 1-0 and 8-2. The Wolverines head to the 2019 Corvallis Regional with a 41-18 record and 16-7 record in league play.

Oregon State will be meeting Cincinnati for the first time. The Bearcats come to Corvallis with a 30-29 overall record and 13-11 conference record. They earned the American Athletic Conference’s automatic bid after defeating Connecticut to win league’s tournament.

Tickets

All-session tickets will go on sale beginning at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 30. Outfield general admission seats in right/center field only or left field only are $90 and Banners Standing Room only are $100. All-session tickets include tickets to all six games of the regional, and a seventh game if necessary.

Any available single-game tickets will go on sale each day for that day’s games only. Infield reserved seats are $26, Banners standing room only are $22, and outfield general admission are $18. Please note that for standing room only tickets, there will be no access to any seating areas and that view of the playing field may be obstructed. For outfield seating, there is an option when purchasing to select either right/center field bleacher seating only or left field bleacher seating only. All outfield general admission seating does not have access inside the stadium. No tickets can be upgraded or exchanged. OSU student tickets are $18 and are located in the right field general admission only. Tickets will only be available for the games that OSU is playing in. Tickets go on sale each day for that day’s games only and can be purchased via the student online account starting at 9 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-GOBEAVS, going online atbeavertickets.comor in person at 143 Gill Coliseum, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ticket office at Goss Stadium will open two hours prior to the first game’s first pitch each day, and will remain open until the conclusion of the 5th inning of the second game each day. Each game will have one ticket and the stadium will be cleared in between games. All individuals, ages 3 years and older, are required to purchase tickets for admittance.

Fans who attend the regional should note that the parking lot beyond the left field fence will be closed to the public for NCAA purposes each day. OSU Athletics will charge $10 (cash only) in the Parking Structure and 15th and Washington lot. Please note that other lots on campus will still be controlled by University Transportation Services and require university permits during normal business hours.
