Lou Piniella On A Mobile Wants To Takeover For Pat Casey

Sweet Lou is a baseball legend. He played 11-seasons with the New York Yankees winning two World Series and won a third as Manager of the Cincinnati Reds. He is beloved in the Northwest after a very successful tenure as Manager of the Seattle Mariners. He was twice named Manager of the year in 1995 and in 2001 when his club won 116 games.

Sweet Lou is also golfing buddies with Chad's father and once he found out about his radio show in Portland, Lou Piniella has been calling his show ever since.

On Friday, Chad woke to a voicemail from Sweet Lou explaining that he wanted to put his name in the hat for the Oregon State Beavers job after Pat Casey announced this week he would not return to coaching.

Chad and Travis invited Sweet Lou onto the show to make his case for the job. Lou's reason for wanting to return to coaching might surprise you. The conversation can be heard on the latest episode of the "What's Chad Doing" podcast.
