Kennedy Brown and Taylor Jones may be the most talked about freshman duo in Oregon State Women's basketball history. That is what happens when you make a Final Four and then follow up with two Sweet Sixteens and a trip to the Elite Eight. The Beavers have built an elite program and the top players in the country have noticed. Kennedy Brown a five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American from Derby, Kansas and Taylor Jones also a five-star recruit from Forney, Texas are really excited about heading to the Pacific Northwest to play at Oregon State. I had a chance to chat with both of them Wednesday and as you will see both are poised to come into Gill Coliseum and contribute to Scott Rueck's program. They arrived in Corvallis while the Oregon State Team camp was underway. Here is a little more info on the duo courtesy of ESPNW'S HOOPGURLS :
ESPNW's Hoopgurlz, which is generally regarded as the industry leader in Women's Hoops scouting and recruiting, has Brown rated as the nation's 19th best player for the 2019 cycle. She joins fellow 5* Taylor Jones (Forney, TX) as the only two members of the 2019 recruiting class for Rueck's Beavers, and the first recruiting class he has fielded featuring multiple 5* recruits. Earlier this spring, Kennedy narrowed her list to seven schools: Baylor, Tennessee, UCLA, Oklahoma, Oregon, Louisville and OSU. After playing this summer for PBR Team Lex Believe Platinum on the AAU circuit and traveling to Italy to play with the Adidas US Select team, she set up official visits to see the Sooners, Ducks, Bruins, and finally the Beavers.
