He can shoot and he can shoot from long distance at crunch time. Apparently the Dallas Mavericks have noticed. Steven Thompson Jr. 6'4" guard and an Oregon State graduate has been added to the Maverick's summer league roster.
NBA insiders say the Portland Trailblazers were the only team to actually workout Thompson who is the Beavers all-time three point shooter and fourth on the all-time Oregon State scoring list.
The Mavericks open summer league play in Las Vegas July 5th against Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, the Beavers pick up a huge recruit!!
Dearon Tucker 'a highly sought after recruit from Universal Academy in Dallas is fully committed to Oregon State. 6-10 220 pounds, Tucker had the Beavers in his final four along with DePaul, Penn State and Coastal Carolina. He will be eligible to play this fall.
