Blake Brandel ( 6'7" 307) is the odds-on starter at Left Tackle...The senior is from Central Catholic in Portland. Another senior, from Kearns, Utah...Gus Lavaka could be the starter at Left Guard (6'4" 347). Nathan Eldridge the senior transfer from the University of Arizona is battling for the starting center spot. (6'3" 305) Eldridge brings a ton of experience from the Wildcats and played for Coach Jim Michalczik for two seasons. He did sit out last year with knee injuries. On the right side, Clay Cordasco (6'5" 314) another senior from Cornish, Me. has a shot to start at the Right Guard position. Then what about Brandon Kipper the lone underclassman in the group who could be a starter at Right Tackle. A sophomore from Caldwell, Idaho. ( 6-6 305), he talks about his off season workouts that made him a lot bigger and stronger. August 17th is the first chance Beaver Nation can see the offensive line in action.
