There is no doubt Corvallis is buzzing about the Stanford game. School is back in session and Oregon State has improved as a football team. We get to see how much better the Beavers can be against a team that has a nine-game winning streak against them. Stanford has owned Oregon State since 2009 and David Shaw their current coach hasn't lost to OSU.......EVER in his nine years in Palo Alto,
Oregon State's offense has been on the mark for most of the non-conference season. Their ability to put points on the board will be one of the key's tomorrow. But I believe the defense is the big factor that potentially will make a difference against Stanford's struggling offense. Stanford has lost three of their first four games incljuding two conference losses to USC and Oregon. In the four games they have scored just 70 points. The Beaver defense has to keep that trend going. Now Stanford's defense held the Ducks to just 21 points so you know this game will be most likely decided by the defenses. Check out the interview with Jalen Moore and Tim Tibesar I have posted here. Both are upbeat and optimistic about the conference opener.
