Beaver O-Line a key versus Utah Saturday!

The Oregon State offensive line has been outstanding for much of the 2019 season. Check the numbers. Artavis Pierce is averaging 7.5 yards per game on 64 carries and has five touchdowns. Jermar Jefferson despite battling a foot injury is averaging 5.3 yards per carry on 56 attempts. Both are outstanding backs that are getting great help from a much improved offensive line.

But now the offensive line faces their biggest challenge of the season at Homecoming Saturday at Reser. Utah's run defense is allowing just 282.4 yards per game which is the best in the Pac-12. Another huge number for the Utes....giving up just 53.8 yards per game on the ground.

Offensive line coach Jim Michalczik talked to me about the progress of the offensive line and the big challenge ahead.

Brandon Kipper is a redshirt sophomore Right Tackle for Oregon State. He has solidified the right side of the Offensive Line for OSU. He says the UCLA win was a blast and is ready to take on the Utah challenge.

Saturday's game will be live on 1190 KEX with the Tailgate show starting at 2:pm and the kickoff at 5:10 pm
