Damian Lillard scored 13 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter including 10-straight points as the Portland Trail Blazers win their first game of the season 122-112 over the Sacramento Kings.
The game was back-and-forth until Lillard connected on back-to-back three-pointers in the fourth to extend Portland's lead to 114-101.
Sacramento (0-2) dominated the majority of the first half and led by seven late in the second quarter before the Blazers closed the quarter on a 12-5 run to even the game at 57 heading into halftime.
Hassan Whiteside dominated the paint for Portland (1-1) finishing with 22 points and nine rebounds on 9-for-10 shooting. Whiteside recorded 16 points and 19 rebounds on Wednesday night in his Portland debut against the Denver Nuggets.
After going a combined 6-for-22 from the floor against Denver, the Blazers got 29 points from their bench against the Kings. Anfernee Simons scored 15 points and Kent Bazemore was everywhere finishing with nine points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
