Basketball doubleheader at Gill Saturday!

If you are in need of some college basketball tomorrow. Start south on I-5. Stop in Keizer at the new In n out and then head to Gill for two games. Now don't forget to bring teddy bears. The Oregon State Beavers are asking for teddy bears to be thrown on the court at halftime of their game against Arkansas Pine Bluff. New or slightly used are ok.

The Beavers might suffer from a little rust. They haven't played a game since December first but are also looking for their sixth straight win. Oregon State is a big favorite to improve to 8-1. Arkansas Pine Bluff is 1-7 so far this season. Mike Parker will have the call on 1190 KEX with pregame coverage beginning at 2:30 and the tip at 3:pm.

Meanhwhile, the 4th-ranked Oregon State Women's basketball team hosts Utah State at 7:30.

The Beavers previous best ranking was No. 5, which the squad reached last week. Oregon State is 8-0 on the season, and is one of 15 remaining undefeated teams in Division I. The Beavers are closing in on the best start in program history, which is 10-0 set in 2014-15.

Mikayla Pivec leads the Beavers with an average of 15.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.Destiny Slocum is at 14.3 points per game, andTaylor Jones is putting up 13.5 points per contest.Aleah Goodman rounds out four Beavers scoring in double-figures at 11.8 points per game.

Overall, Oregon State has won its first eight contests by an average of 23.8 points. The Beavers have three wins over teams ranked in this week's AP Poll.

The Beavers are 2-0 against the Aggies since Scott Rueck has coached at Oregon State. The Beavers would love it if you brought a toy to help those in need before the Women's game.
