4th ranked Oregon State on Maui this week for Maui Jim Invitational

Lahaina, Maui- Anyone who has watched Destiny Slocum knows she is a wizard with the basketball and has a spin move possibily unmatched in Women's College basketball. But as you can see Destiny has a pretty impressive spin move in the world of jump roping. The Oregon State Beavers are on Maui for the annual Maui Jim Invitational and each December the Beavers pay a visit to Pomaika'i Elementary School.

There is no college basketball on Maui except when the mainland college's visit the Island. For the Beavers this trip is more than just hoops. It is a chance for them to make a positive impression on the young students here on Maui.

For Senior and dead-eye three-point shooter Kat Tudor this is her fourth and final school visit as a player so it has that thrill and sadness hitting her at the same time:

Jelena Mitrovic who is a 6'9" Freshman from Serbia, the kids were in awe of her tallness!

The visit for the 18-year old was a special moment that reminded her days on the basketball court back home:

The Beavers are 9-0 on the season and are ranked 4th in both national polls. They play Northern Arizona tomorrow night here on Maui and BUY Wednesday night. Both games begin at 9:30 pm Pacific Time. You can watch the games by clicking here:
