Blazers Down Warriors

Damian Lillard scored 31 points and Hassan Whiteside pulled down 23 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers kicked off their four-game homestand with a 122-112 win over the Golden State Warriors Wednesday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

CJ McCollum scored 30 points, Carmelo Anthony finished with 17, and Whiteside scored 16 points.

Lillard got the Blazers going early scoring 16 points and dishing out five assists in the first quarter helping Portland build an 11-point lead at 40-29.

The Warriors overcame a 13-point deficit in the second quarter taking a 66-65 lead on a three-pointer from from Eric Pascall. The Warriors stayed close by grabbing 17 offensive rebounds leading to a 27-11 edge in second-chance points. Golden State took advantage of lapses in Portland's perimeter defense connecting on 16-of-38 from three-point range.

D'Angelo Russell led the Warriors with 26 points.

Skal Labissiere gave Portland a boost off the bench with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers host the Orlando Magic on Friday night. Game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
