#3 Beavers improve to 12-0 in final tuneup before Pac-12 play

The Oregon State Beavers are ready for Pac-12 play. After a somewhat sluggish start against Cal State Bakersfield, the Beavers turned up the defense and held the Roadrunners to just two points in the second quarter and then cruised to a 69-50 victory.

Taylor Jones the outstanding Freshman had another big day with 16 points, 13 boards and six blocks. It was her fourth career double-double in just twelve college games.

Senior Kat Tudor had 13 points and three more rainbow three-pointers. Senior Mikayla Pivec moved into fifth-place all time in rebounding at Oregon State with 13 points and ten rebounds.

5,534 fans showed up on a Sunday with a noon start and the students away from campus. It shows the expanding fan base for this undefeated team. Scott Rueck talked about the day at his post-game news conference along with Pivec and Jones.

Now the Pac-12 begins. Utah will open things for Oregon State this Friday. Pregame coverage on the Beaver Sports Network at 6:30pm and the tip at 7:05
