Beavers improve to 13-0 demolishing Utah 77-48 in Pac-12 opener!

Oregon State's third-ranked Women's basketball team got off to a hot start against Utah and never looked back cruising to a 77-48 win before 5.629 fans at Gill in their Pac-12 conference opener. The Beavers improve to 13-0 and host Colorado Sunday at noon.

I talked to Destiny Slocum right after the game and she touted the team's defense and versatility on offense as keys to their 13th straight victory. She had 16 rebounds, five assists and four boards against the Utes.

Freshman Taylor Jones had 15 points including eleven in the third quarter. Kennedy Brown was huge on defense and garnered nine rebounds. She says the offense will come but right now she is locking down on defense.,

Mikayla Pivec had another outstanding night with 15 points and fellow senior Maddie Washington had eight points and eight rebounds and was a sparkplug off the bench in the second quarter. She was part of the Beavers official news conference with Scott Rueck and Taylor Jones.
