There is thought that the Oregon State Beavers belong in the Pac-12's elite this season. They are off to a good start at 12-4. They are 2-2 in conference play and both of those wins are over TOP 25 teams in Colorado and Arizona. The current NCAA Net Rankings have them at number 45. Not bad but if they are potentially an NCAA tourney team they must be more consistent. Losses to Texas A & M and most recently Utah and ASU have shown they can look awful at times and awesome at times.
Coach Wayne Tinkle addressed many issues regarding his team's status this week....including how impressed he was with their evolution in the win over the Wildcats:
Tinkle and the Beavers play Washington tonight in Seattle. Mike Parker will have the play-by-play on 1190 KEX with the pregame show beginning at 7:30. The Huskies are without Quade Green who is sitting out the winter quarter with academic issues. Should be a great opportunity for the Beavs show that consistency Beaver Nation is looking for.
