Tres Tinkle says Beavs are ready for UCLA tonight!

You could feel a sense of urgency at Oregon State's practice this week. Back home after a disappointing trip to Seattle and Pullman, the Beavers find themselves near the bottom of the Pac-12 conference standings at 2-4. It is not the start Wayne Tinkle wanted for his team. Consistancy and defense will be the focus in tonight's battle against UCLA.

The Bruins are 9-9 and 2-3 in conference play. New coach Mick Cronin is preaching defense and it is starting to pay off. Their 50-40 victory over Cal last Sunday featured 12 straight stops at one point.

Watch his comments with the local media guys in Corvallis. He believes this could the weekend to put all of the pieces of this year's Beavers together and show the conference they can contend for the title.
