Blazers Dominate The Warriors

----- Damian Lillard scored a game-high 34 points and CJ McCollum finished with 28 as the Portland Trail Blazers overwhelm the Golden State Warriors 123-98 Friday night in San Francisco.

The Trail Blazers connected on 20 three-point field goals for just the seventh time in franchise history powering them to a 123-98 win over the Golden State Warriors Friday night at Chase Center in San Francisco.

CJ McCollum scored 16 of his 28 points in the first quarter when the Blazers built a 36-21 lead. The Blazers connected on 12-of-24 threes in the first half taking a 67-55 lead into the break.

The Blazers offense created great energy for their defense as they frustrated the Warriors into a 7-of-35 shooting night from beyond-the-arc. Steph Curry finished the night with 26 points, but he made his just four of his 12 shots from downtown.

Damian Lillard led all scorers with 34 points and he dished out eight assists. Carmelo Anthony led the bench with 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Anthony moved past Tim Duncan into 14th on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Harry Giles played 14 minutes recording three points, five rebounds, two assists, and a block and Anfernee Simons added 11.

Draymond Green didn't score and had four rebounds, four assists and four fouls over nearly 18 minutes making his season debut for Golden State. It was his first game since Feb. 27 against the Los Angeles Lakers. A stretch of 309 days. He was sidelined the first four-games with a foot injury.

Notes- With 34 points in the game, Damian Lillard reach the 15,000 point mark for his career. He joins Clyde Drexler as the only other player in franchise history to reach that mark.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers finish their four-game road trip Sunday in a rematch against the Warriors at Chase Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 PM.

Chad's Take- When the Trail Blazers go 20-of-41 from downtown, they are impossible to beat.
