Lillard Powers Blazers Past Wizards

----- Damian scores 32 points and Robert Covington adds 19 as the Portland Trail Blazers improve to 11-9 with a 132-121 victory over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.

Damian Lillard scored 21 of his 32 points in the second half powering the Trail Blazers to a solid bounce-back 132-121 victory over the Washington Wizards Tuesday night at Capital One Arena in DC.

The Wizards took a 3-0 lead early in the first quarter, but that would be the last time Portland trailed in the game. The Blazers exploded for 40 points in the first, led by 12 at half time and 106-90 entering the fourth.

The Wizards pulled to within four points at 122-118 with 4:05 to play after a Deni Avdija three-pointer, but the Blazers closed the game on a 10-3 run.

Portland discovered balanced scoring to give Lillard some much needed help playing the second of a back-to-back. Gary Trent Jr. scored 26 points on 7-of-9 shooting from beyond-the-arc, Robert Covington scored 19 points, and Carmelo Anthony rediscovered his shooting touch scoring 21 points off the bench.

Portland (11-9) connected on 21 of their 46 shots from three-point range.

Enes Kanter continued his solid play by recording a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. He used his hustle and toughness on the glass to harass the Wizards in the paint.

Bradley Beal led Washington (4-13) with a game-high 37 points and Rui Hachimura added 24 points and five points.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will travel to Philadelphia to meet the Sixers on Thursday evening. The game is scheduled to tip off at 5:00 PM.
