Suns Burn Blazers

----- Devin Booker scored a game-high 34 points and Denadre Ayton added 19 as the Phoenix Suns hammered the Portland Trail Blazers 132-100 Monday night in Phoenix.

It didn't take the Suns long to eclipse the Trail Blazers on Monday night.

Devin Booker scored a game-high 34 points and Deandre Ayton added 19 as the Phoenix Suns handed the Portland Trail Blazers a 132-100 blowout Monday night at Phoenix Suns Arena. Phoenix is now 9-1 in their last 10 games.

The Suns bench scored 64 points. Dario Saric had 14 and Cameron Johnson added 13.

The Blazers took a 40-39 lead with 7:33 left in the first half on a three-pointer from Gary Trent Jr. but it was all Suns after that.

Phoenix closed the half on a 24-14 run taking a 63-54 halftime lead. The Suns put the game away in the third when they outscored the Blazers 37-17.

“But obviously, the third quarter -- you know, offensively, we didn't shoot the ball well, Blazers Coach Terry Stotts said. "We didn't score, and they were very efficient. Deandre Ayton had an impact on the game in the paint. Devin Booker had an outstanding game, but in the first and third quarters he was outstanding.

“So, it went off track in the third quarter, which is an understatement.”

The Trail Blazers (18-12) connected on just 44.0% of their field goal attempts including just 12-of-39 from beyond-the-arc.

Damian Lillard scored 24 points and seven assists and Nassir Little led the bench with 18 points.

An unusual sloppy game from the Trail Blazers as they committed 17 turnovers leading to 24 points for the Suns.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will play the second of a back-to-back Tuesday night at Ball Arena in Denver against the Nuggets. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- On the bright side, Lillard played just 29 minutes. Could be helpful tomorrow night in Denver.
