Enes Kanter Gobbles Up The Pistons

----- Enes Kanter grabbed a career-high and franchise-record 30 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers snapped a two-game losing streak with a 118-103 win over the Detroit Pistons Saturday night at Moda Center.

Enes Kanter scored 24 points and grabbed a career-high and franchise-record 30 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers snapped a two-game losing streak with a 118-103 win over the Detroit Pistons Saturday night at Moda Center in Portland.

Kanter also set the franchise-record with 12 offensive rebounds. He was 9-of-16 from the field in 37 minutes of action. He was filling in for Jusuf Nurkic who missed the game (injury management).

Blazers Coach Terry Stotts heaped a lot of praise on Kanter following the game for his determination.

"To get a rebounding record it says a lot about the person's will and desire."

Damian Lillard led Portland (31-21) with 27 points and 10 assists and CJ McCollum scored 26 points. The Blazers shot 47.8% from the field including 13-of-29 from three-point range.

The Pistons pulled to within one at 51-50 late in the first half on a Mason Plumlee bucket but the Blazers closed the half with an 8-0 run taking a 59-50 halftime lead.

The Blazers put the game away by opening the third quarter on a 25-16 run. The Pistons trailed by double-digits the rest of the way.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will play the second of a back-to-back tomorrow night at Moda Center against the Miami Heat. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
