Danilo Gallinari scored 28 points and Trae Young added 21 points and 11 assists as the Atlanta Hawks ended the Portland Trail Blazers four-game winning streak with a 123-114 win Monday night at State Farm Arena in Atlanta Georgia.
Gallinari connected on 7-of-10 from three-point range and Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 25 points on 7-of-14 shooting from downtown as the Hawks connected on 20 of their 41 shots from beyond-the-arc. Atlanta shot 52.4% from the field.
Damian Lillard led Portland (36-29) with 33 points and eight assists and CJ McCollum finished with 20 points and seven assists.
The Trail Blazers trailed by just seven-points at 102-95 entering the fourth quarter, but Atlanta put the game away with a 19-6 run taking a 121-101 forcing Terry Stotts to empty his bench.
Fatigue may have been a factor for Portland. After getting in early Monday from Boston, the Trail Blazers were forced from the hotel rooms for about a half-hour by a tornado warning in Atlanta.
Notes- Carmelo Anthony passed Elvin Hayes to move into 10th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list.
Up Next- The Trail Blazers will end their six-game road trip Wednesday evening in Cleveland against the Cavaliers. The game is scheduled to tip off at 4:00 PM.
