The Trail Blazers finish off a remarkable 5-1 road trip in Cleveland!
Damian Lillard scored 32 points in three quarters of work and Jusuf Nurkic added 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers crushed the Cleveland Cavaliers 141-105 Wendesday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
The Blazers offense was on fire as they connected on 56.2% of their field goals including 14-of-25 from three-point range.
Portland (37-29) led by just one-point after the opening period but broke the game open by outscoring the Cavs 73-52 in the second and third quarter combined.
The Trail Blazers will be permitted to host 1,998 fans at their remaining home games, which is 10% of the capacity of Moda Center. The announcement by the Oregon Health Authority was made one day after Lilliard criticized the state for keeping the arena closed to spectators, tweeting, "We gone be the only damn team in the whole league with no fans."
Coach Terry Stotts welcomed the news. "Fans do make a difference," Stotts said. "It's going to be nice to come back against the Lakers and see people in the stands."
Notes- The Blazers were without Norman Powell (knee), so Derrick Jones Jr. got the start at forward next to Robert Covington. He scored five points in 20 minutes.
Up Next- The Trail Blazers return home to meet the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
