Nikola Jokic finished with 36 points, eight rebounds, and six assists and Monte Morris added 22 points and nine assists as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 126-115 to take their first round playoff series 4-2.
Michael Porter Jr. scored 22 of his 26 points in the first quarter keeping the Nuggets within striking distance until the Nuggets going things going in the third quarter.
Damian Lillard led Portland with 28 points and 13 assists and CJ McCollum scored 21, and Robert Covington added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
A pair of Carmelo Anthony free throws gave Portland a 97-84 lead with 3:12 left in the third quarter, but the Nuggets responded with a 14-4 run to close the quarter including a Morris three-pointer at the buzzer cutting the deficit to 101-98.
The Nuggets would put the game away in the fourth with a 17-2 run.
Denver held a 50-38 edge in the paint and scored 15 points off of 17 Blazers' turnovers.
Denver will advance to meet the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Suns defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in six-games.
