Rough night for the Trail Blazers in Los Angeles!

Luke Kennard scored 23 points and Paul George added 16 points and a career-high eight steals as the LA Clippers made easy work of the Portland Trail Blazers 116-86 Monday night at Staples Center.

Damian Lillard finished with just 12 points on 4-of-15 shooting as his poor shooting to start the season continued. Lillard finished 0-for-8 from three-point range and is now just 2-for-24 from beyond-the-arc to start the season.

The Clippers led 31-17 at the end of the first and 56-42 at halftime. They blew the game open outscoring the Blazers 35-19 in the third quarter. Both teams emptied their bench to start the fourth.

The Blazers played rushed and looked out-of-sorts on offense while their defensive rotations were slow and ineffective. Simply put, Portland was sloppy.

Jusuf Nurkic and Robert Covington combined for four points and 10 turnovers.

CJ McCollum led Portland with 20 points. The Blazers made just 8-of-37 from three-point range.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers return home to meet the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.

Chad's Take- Geno Smith + Damian Lillard = Bad night for Northwest sports fans.
