Trail Blazers Use Late Burst To Top Pacers

----- Robert Covington finished with 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting from three-point range as the Portland Trail Blazers defeat the Indiana Pacers 110-106 Friday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Roco to the rescue!

Robert Covington scored nine of his 19 points in the fourth quarter as the Portland Trail Blazers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 110-106 victory over the Indiana Pacers Friday night at Moda Center.

Covington provided a spark for the Blazers after the Pacers had seized control of the game in the fourth quarter.

A Myles Turner bucket with 4:48 remaining gave the Pacers a commanding 101-92 lead, but the Blazers would respond.

CJ McCollum and Covington would both connect from distance powering the Blazers on a 12-0 run to take a 104-101 lead with 2:30 remaining. Indiana never regained the advantage the rest of the way.

The Blazers allowed just two Pacers' field goals during that final stretch.

McCollum led Portland (4-5) with 27 points on 11-of-19 shooting, Norman Powell scored 25, and Anfernee Simons added 16 points on 6-fo-10 shooting.

Portland connected on 48.8% of their field goals including 17-of-39 from beyond-the-arc.

T.J. McConnell led the Pacers in scoring with 19 points and Domantas Sabonis finished with a double-double 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Damian Lillard's struggles continued on Friday night. He finished the game with just four points on 2-of-11 shooting missing all six of his three-point attempts. He did add 11 assists.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers play the second of a back-to-back tomorrow night at Moda Center against the Los Angeles Lakers. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 PM.

Chad's Take- I'm in love with Roco!
