Trail Blazers Stumble In Los Angeles

----- Paul George finished with 24 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists as the Los Angeles Clippers got their second win over the Portland Trail Blazers on the season 117-109 Tuesday night at Staples Center.

Paul George continued his torrid start to the season Tuesday night as the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 117-109 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

George finished with 24 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists and Reggie Jackson added 23 points and six assists powering the Clippers offense that looked unstoppable against Portland's defense.

Nicolas Batum riddled Portland with 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting including 6-of-8 from beyond-the-arc.

The Clippers scorched the nets shooting 51.8% from the field including 16-of-30 from three-point range.

Damian Lillard led Portland with 27 points and Norman Powell scored 23. Jusuf Nurkic had 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who are winless in their first five road games.

The Clippers had an 83-79 lead going into the fourth quarter before going on a 13-6 run to take control.

The Blazers cut the deficit to 103-100 with 3:40 to play but missed four-straight shots including two from Lillard that allowed the Clippers to extend their lead to 12 in the final minute.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers play the second of a back-to-back tomorrow night in Phoenix against the Suns. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 PM.
