After taking a 52-51 lead into halftime, the Grizzlies extended their lead to 69-60 after a Dillon Brooks dunk with 6:27 to play in the third quarter, but Powell responded with back-to-back three-pointers to close the gap.
The Blazers sealed the win late in the fourth on a Jusuf Nurkic tip shot and a Powell jumper giving them a 101-97 lead 31.9 seconds to play.
Brooks scored a game-high 37 points to lead Memphis (19-12). Steven Adams finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
