Kristaps Porzingis finished with 34 points and nine rebounds, Dwight Powell scored 22 points, and Brandon Knight finished with 18 points and five assists as the Dallas Mavericks dominated the Portland Trail Blazers 132-117 Monday night at Moda Center.
Both teams were short-handed due to multiple players being out due to health and safety protocols.
The Trail Blazers were without CJ McCollum, Cody Zeller, Jusuf Nurkic, Robert Covington, Ben McLemore, Dennis Smith Jr., Trendon Watford, and Keljin Blevins.
The Mavericks were without Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway, Maxi Kleber, Trey Burke, Reggie Bullock, Josh Green, Willie Cauley-Stein, and JaQuori McLaughlin.
Portland (13-20) started the game with Damian Lillard, Norman Powell, Nassir Little, Larry Nance Jr., and Tony Snell.
The game was tied at 41 with 8:16 to play in the first half, but Dallas closed the half on a 31-12 run to take control of the game.
The Mavericks outscored the Blazers in the paint 68-30, shot 57.1% from the field, and finished with 38 assists.
Lillard led Portland with 26 points but connected on just 5-of-15 from the field.
With Chauncy Billups out due to health and safety protocols. Scotty Brooks filled-in to coach the team.
Dallas pushed their lead to as many as 29 points in the second half.
