Warriors Pound Trail Blazers

----- Steph Curry finished with 18 points, 14 assists, and five rebounds as the Golden State Warriors hammered the Portland Trail Blazers 132-95 Thursday night at Moda Center.

Two teams headed in different directions met up Thursday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Steph Curry recorded a double-double with 18 points and 14 assists and Klay Thompson added 18 points and five rebounds as the Golden State Warriors hammered the Portland Trail Blazers 132-95.

The Warriors are currently in second place in the Western Conference playoff standings 6.5 games behind the Phoenix Suns as teams enter the stretch run following the All-Star break.

Portland (25-35) is focused on the upcoming NBA Draft Lottery and player development as they prepare for an off-season loaded with assets to hopefully improve their roster around Damian Lillard.

On Wednesday, the team announced that Center Jusuf Nurkic would miss at least four-weeks due to plantar fasciitis in his foot. The move was made to allow for more player development and better positioning for the draft order.

With Nurkic out of the lineup, Drew Eubanks made the start at center after singing a 10-day contract earlier in the week. He finished the night with He finished with two-points and five rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

Eubanks went to nearby Reynolds High School in Portland and played basketball at Oregon State University.

Anfernee Simons scored a team-high 24 points and Josh Hart finished with 12 points and six rebounds.

Portland led 32-31 after the first thanks to Simons and Josh Hart, the two combined for 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting. The Warriors responded by outscoring the Blazers 69-41 between the second and third quarters to put the game away.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will host the Denver Nuggets Sunday at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 PM.
