A Keljin Blevins three-pointer cut the Rockets lead to 93-88 with 8:50 remaining in the game, but the Rockets responded with a 10-2 run to put the game away.
With eight games remaining on the Trail Blazers schedule, every loss is critical in their race for ping pong balls in the upcoming NBA Draft Lottery.
The Trail Blazers lost their third-straight game Saturday night at Moda Center 115-98 to the Houston Rockets, but received some much needed help from San Antonio and Sacramento in the lottery standings.
The Spurs and Kings both got wins giving Portland a three-game lead on San Antonio for 7th in the draft lottery standings and a half game behind Sacramento for 6th.
Notes- Trendon Watford left the game in the second half with a left knee injury. Portland Head Coach Chauncy Billups said Watford was undergoing an MRI following the game. We should have news on the severity of the injury on Sunday.
If the Blazers were to move ahead of the Kings, it would improve their chances at a top-four pick from 32% to 37.2%.
Up Next- The Trail Blazers host the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
