With 5:10 left in the game it seemed like the Trail Blazers were going to become just the third team to defeat the Warriors at Chase Center this season. Damian Lillard connected on a floater in the lane extending Portland's lead to 110-102. It turned out to be a mirage.

The Warriors exploded for a 12-0 run capped off by a three-pointer from Klay Thompson leaving Warriors' fans in a frenzy and the Blazers dazed and confused. Golden State ended the game on a 16-2 run improving their home record to 16-2 on the year.

Jordan Poole scored a game-high 41 points and Thompson added 31 points on 7-of-15 shooting from beyond-the-arc.

Damian Lillard led Portland (18-17) with 34 points and Simons finished with 22 points, but the two combined for just 8-of-26 from three-point range.

Drew Eubanks got the start with Jusuf Nurkic out (illness). He finished with eight points and seven rebounds on 4-of-6 shooting.

The Blazers showed poise after trailing 41-25 heading into the second quarter. Portland cut the deficit to 60-56 at halftime and took a 75-69 lead in the third after a 19-9 burst to start the second half.

The Blazers have lost four of their last five games and are just 8-13 since their 10-4 start to the season.

Up Next- Blazers return to Portland and will host the Detroit Pistons Monday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
