----- Damian Lillard scored 36 points and dished out 10 assists and Jusuf Nurkic recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers snapped their five-game losing streak 136-119 over the Dallas Mavericks.
Having lost five-straight and nine of their last 11 games, the Portland Trail Blazers desperately needed a win on Saturday night with Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in town.
Portland (20-22) started strong and road Damian Lillard's strong performance to a 136-119 victory Saturday night at Moda Center.
Lillard finished with a game-high 36 points to go along with 10 assists, Jusuf Nurkic recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Blazers.
All five starters scored in double-figures as Portland shot 55.7% from the field including 17-of-41 from three-point range. The Blazers played with great energy throughout the game and showed great execution on offense with 34 assists and just 12 turnovers.
They held a dominant 47-25 edge in rebounding and dominated in transition with a 24-9 advantage in fast break points.
The Mavericks were within five-points at 47-42 with 6:33 to play in the first half after a pair of free throws Jaden Hardy, but Portland extended the lead to 71-56 at the half thanks to a 24-14 run. The Mavericks never threatened the rest of the way.
Spencer Dinwiddie led the Mavericks with 25 points and Luka Doncic finished with 15 points and 10 assists on 7-of-19 shooting.
The 136 points scored was a season-high for Portland.
