Damian Lillard finished with a game-high 40 points and six assists and Jerami Grant, Jusuf Nurkic, and Anfernee Simons each scored 20 as the Portland Trail Blazers scored a second double-digit victory against the Dallas Mavericks in as many nights 140-123 Sunday at Moda Center.
The Trail Blazers carried the momentum from Saturday's win over Dallas into Sunday's match up by starting the game strong, playing with energy, and executing on both ends of the floor.
The Blazers connected on 50.6% of their field goals including 17-of-44 from beyond-the-arc and finished with 28 assists. Portland matched a season-low with just eight turnovers giving them just 20 in the two wins over Dallas.
The improved ball security gave the Blazers a boost in their transition defense and allowed them to win the fast break points on back-to-back nights.
With Luka Doncic taking the night off, Spencer Dinwiddie led the Mavericks with 28 points.
The Mavericks kept the game close trailing 98-95 entering the fourth quarter after scoring 41 points in the third quarter, but Portland put the game away with a 24-8 run to start the fourth.
Nassir Little made his return after missing 21-games with a hip injury. He finished with 10 points and two blocks in 16 minutes of action.
With the win, Portland has evened-up their season-series with the Mavericks at 2-2.
