Slow Start Dooms Trail Blazers

----- James Harden dropped a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists and Joel Embiid scored a game-high 32 points as the Philadelphia 76ers topped the Portland Trail Blazers 105-95 Thursday night at Moda Center.

Joel Embiid scored a game-high 32 points and James Harden finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists to lead the 76ers to a 105-95 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Sixers defense held the Blazers to just 14-points in the first quarter on 27.3% shooting and a season-low 34-points in the first half.

Portland was able to cut the deficit to seven-points at 95-88 with 3:34 to play after a pair of Anfernee Simons free throws, but the Sixers responded with four quick points to push their lead back to double-digits.

Philadelphia (29-16) outscored Portland 56-34 in the paint, 19-12 in fast break points, and forced 16 Blazers' turnovers.

Damian Lillard led the team with 25 points and 11 assists and Jerami Grant added 24 on on 8-of-14 shooting. Nassir Little finished with 10 points and six rebounds on 4-of-7 shooting.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers host the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 PM.
