Trail Blazers Say Goodbye To Josh Hart, Defeat Warriors

----- Damian Lillard dropped the second triple-double of his career and Jerami Grant added 22 points as the Portland Trail Blazers edge the Golden State Warriors 125-122 Wednesday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

Emotional night for the Trail Blazers leads to a victory over the Golden State Warriors.

As the Trail Blazers were preparing to play the Golden State Warriors Wednesday evening, they got word that Josh Hart had been traded to the New York Knicks prior to Thursday's trade deadline.

The players shared hugs with Hart before he left the arena and then earned a thrilling 125-122 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Damian Lillard recorded the second triple-double of his career finishing with 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists and Jerami Grant added 22 points and four rebounds.

Lillard was relentless in attacking the basket and was rewarded by the officials. He finished the night 16-of-16 from the free throw line.

Portland (27-28) gave up 30 points on 21 turnovers, but they dominated the glass with a 47-32 edge in rebounding. They grabbed 12 offensive rebounds that turned into a 20-12 advantage in second-chance points.

The Blazers connected on 55.1% of their field goals.

Golden State (28-27) was led by Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson. Poole scored a game-high 38 points and Thompson added 31 on 7-of-19 from three-point range.

The Warriors were minus Curry for the second consecutive game because of a left leg injury he sustained late in the third quarter of a victory over Dallas on Saturday. 

The game was tied at 95 going into the final quarter before Anfernee Simons' layup and free throw gave Portland a 101-97 lead.

Trendon Watford's layup for the Blazers evened the game again at 114 with 4:56 left before Jerami Grant's three-point play gave Portland back the lead. Grant added another layup with 1:54 left to make it 119-114.

Up Next- The Trail Blazers host the OKC Thunder Friday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
