Didn't take long for Pelicans to dispose of the Trail Blazers on Sunday.
Trey Murphy III scored a career-high 41 points and CJ McCollum finished with 22 points and 11 assists as the New Orleans Pelicans delivered a 127-110 knockout punch to the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday afternoon at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
Murphy III connected on 13 of his 20 shots including 9-of-14 from three-point range. The Pelicans finished the night 19-of-40 from beyond-the-arc.
New Orleans led by 17 after the first quarter and by 20 at halftime. They led by as many as 39. The Blazers were out of it from the start.
Damian Lillard did not play due to a tight calf while New Orleans was without Zion Williamson, Jose Alvarado, and Brandon Ingram.
Up Next- The Trail Blazers return home to face the New York Knicks Tuesday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
